In order to minimize risk and guarantee the fulfillment of Packing Instruction P650, the below included instructions should be followed during the handling and transport of substances:
- Put the biological materials classified as UN3373 inside leakproof primary receptacles.
- Put the primary receptacles individually in appropriate racks in order to avoid them to hit during carriage.
- If you wish to send liquid samples, ensure that at the bottom of the secondary packaging there is enough absorbent material for retaining the total amount of liquid contents to be carried.
- If a specific temperature should be kept, follow instructions for use of MEDIBOX temperature regulator.
- Put the rack inside the secondary packaging and screw the cap on, pressing slightly on it while activating the closing system.
- Insert the secondary packaging into the outer packaging and make clear on the label that the packaging contains samples.
- Close completely the outer packaging zipper. From then on, the biological samples UN3373 can be entirely safe transported.
MEDIBOX has undergone numerous tests conducted by accredited bodies which certify that our system complies with current regulations and manages to minimize the risk that infectious samples may have on the environment.
